Lessons

I offer personalised lessons to cater for all goals and ages:

• Young Beginners - I offer lessons for children beginning or continuing to learn the piano. I create a fun and engaging environment emphasising building confidence and self expression, while giving a solid technical and theoretical base of understanding.

• Adult Beginners - If you are an adult coming to piano and music for the first time I can guide you through the process of getting comfortable with the instrument and finding excitement in music. I will treat you with the intellectual respect that you deserve and progress with you at your pace.

• Exam Grades - I teach ABRSM Performance Grades 1-8 for those wishing to pursue a more formal challenge and qualification with the instrument. I will only enter students for exams when they are ready and fully prepared to ensure a good experience and minimise stress.

• Recreational - If you just want to enjoy playing for fun and need some help learning a specific piece or to build confidence and technique I can provide enjoyable, relaxed lessons.

• Composition and Improvisation - If you're interested in creating music and having freedom at the piano then I can give you the understanding of music theory and piano technique that you need to express yourself.
